Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be gambled on in casinos around the globe, or alternatively at your house on your personal computer, through a net account. The rules are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the greatest mixture of cards possible in order to come away with cash. In this respect it is very similar as a classic game of poker, without the line of contact with any other players. Of course, techniques employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.
The game of Video Poker starts when the bettor puts credits (either tokens, credit slips or cash) into the machine and pushes the play button. A hand of five cards will be electronically ‘given out’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ printed on them, and players will need to now pick which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any number of cards they want, whether it is all or none.
After the player has decided on which cards she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards are given out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands shown on the payout schedule.
Normally, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that discerning gamblers are able to select the most beneficial machine every instance.
Once the first round has finished, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or they can press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that they may have won. Further, some versions of the game allow the bettor a chance to double their winnings, in which instance another game is played. There are also variations between individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
