Electronic Poker is a favored game that usually will be bet on in casinos all over the globe, or alternatively at your house on your PC, using an Internet account. The game rules are very simple and consist of the player trying to achieve the best combination of cards possible in order to acquire money. In this respect it is very similar as a normal game of poker, minus the interaction with competing players. The game of Electronic Poker starts when the player puts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A hand of 5 cards will be "given out" on the screen.
The Electronic Poker machine also has hold buttons, and bettors should now choose which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they want, from all to none.
After the gambler has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.
Generally, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the award money increasing for each and every better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, three of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from game to game, so that knowledgeable bettors are agile enough to pick the most beneficial machine each time.
After the initial round has completed, the player can either decide to stay on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any cash that might have been won. Additionally, some versions of the game allow the player a chance to double their winnings, in which situation another round is played. There are also variations among specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
